One meaning revolves around the idea that we must live with all of our problems, new or old. The video has many meanings, and they all play to the theme of OK Computer. Soon thereafter, a group of younger people begin following him and ultimately chasing him, before it ends with him falling on train tracks and walking amongst them. As the man walks through the streets, he begins becoming more anxious as he discovers a phone in the middle of the street with a picture of him sitting on the bench at the beginning of the video. The video switches between night and day, beautifully cutting between the two times seamlessly. It has classic Radiohead overtones, focussing on a disheveled businessman walking through English streets looking paranoid. It's use of theme, and layered instrumentation created ripples in the rock industry (ESPECIALLY experimental rock) that can be seen today. The message is portrayed strongly in the mysterious music video. That being said: OK Computer is often considered one of (if not the) best because it was largely influential on the rock genre. "Well for starters, the general public usually ranks it alongside Kid A, and the Radiohead fanbase varies on which they consider the best (In Rainbows is my personal favorite). I think u/PartTimeSociopath summed it up pretty well regarding its influence in an old r/Radiohead thread: It also did things with sound and layering that had never really been made popular before. They were talking about alienation and detachment from society (and each other) when the internet was in its infancy. Lastly, I think it spoke to the themes of the time in a way that has aged well. If you look at The Bends and Pablo Honey, you're kind of left wondering how this band made this lush, layered, textured, dense record.

I think part of it, too, was no one was really expecting it from Radiohead. It made accessible this sort of artsy approach to rock music.

I think Radiohead found a way forward with OK Computer - it took the alternative rock scene and provided a new direction. 1996 was this weird, directionless period for rock music where it was like, "WTF is gonna happen now?" (AV Club had a great retrospective piece last year on 1996.) Grunge was definitely dying off by 1997, at least in terms of being new and fresh. I think what it did was present a way forward for rock music after grunge.
